How to make your life better this week

Published about 2 years ago • 1 min read

Dear Reader--

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

Everything that has been in your life for a while is either a bad thing or a good thing in terms of averages.

So your job, your friends, your hobbies—on average either they take more than they give, or they give more than they take.

Like, television knows this principal. The commercials have to be shorter than the show.

But it’s hard to get rid of the takers, because we tend to think of the positive elements that we’ll be losing…

Overall, though, it's a big gain.

So this week I challenge you to instantly gut-evaluate things in your daily life--your furniture, the apps on your phone…

and get rid of two things which take more than they give.

You better do it, Reader, ‘cause in next week’s email I’m gonna ask if you did it. (You can reply and tell me your two things if you want.)

Thanks for reading,

Ryan

Dear Reader-- I've missed you, and I'm sad I had to leave you all by yourself for so long. Still, I did it for a good reason. This summer we finished principal photography on "The Bright Side of Life" in Northern California. It was the most difficult and most fun summer I've ever had. Here is some of the footage I shot starring Paige Ramsey, Nina Tarr, and Parker Love Bowling. Anyway, I hope you had a good summer too. You can tell me how yours went if you want. Thanks for reading, Reader. Ryan

Dear Reader-- Just in case you're interested, here's what I've been doing lately... ...working really hard on the movie all day every day. Getting props and equipment and coordinating with everybody. We are about to shoot the first material which should actually be seen on-screen! This is the first scene we are shooting, which tests a number of the techniques that should be used throughout filming. Thanks for reading, Reader. Ryan PS: Feel free to forward these electronic letters to your...

Dear Reader-- Did you know that Abba made a feature film at the height of their stardom? Neither did I. It's a concert film, but I always like the interviews with fans and stuff a lot more than the concert part. There's a lot of that in this. And other weird stuff. I had a good time watching it. I hope you do too. Click the picture below or the link at the bottom to watch the whole thing for free. https://bflix.ru/movie/abba-the-movie-8xx7y/1-full Thanks for reading, Reader.
